Lela Rose, known for her feminine ready-to-wear collections and elegant wedding and bridesmaid dress line (she designed the bridesmaid dresses in former First Daughter Jenna Bush’s wedding!), has a new shoe collection at Payless ShoeSource that can complete your prom outfit. At Payless, Lela’s Unforgettable Moments is a collection of satin shoes that you can dye in 64 custom colors — for just $50. Although strappy, metallic shoes have always been a mainstay for prom, these satin shoes are an affordable option to add more color or elegance to your look. If you’re wearing a black gown, you could dye your pumps red, for a stand-out effect. Or, say you were wearing a champagne-colored gown — you could dye your shoes to match them, for a subtle effect of elegance. You can make your jewelry a bit bolder: wear huge, sparkly chandelier earrings and they won’t be competing for attention with your shoes.

What I like best about the Unforgettable Moments shoes are that they have leather soles for durability, and certain styles have a strap around the ankle - SO important when you are on the dance floor.
